For the first time I've seen Damian's drama appearing in our local papers, and in English! Such rare occasion!
The news didn't mention much about Damian, but more on Elena (江美仪).
For me, the title of the news is kind of "overwhelming" :[e016]:

HONG KONG: The new TVB drama Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles is going to stir controversy because it features torrid sex scenes involving Ron Ng and Elena Kong.

Disclosed Elena: “Ron and I made out for over a minute. We were all very professional, and filming went very smoothly.”

The drama, widely seen as TVB’s highlight of the year, had premiered on 22 October with a two-hour episode. In the drama, Elena also performs a sensual dance for Damian Lau, who portrays the patriarch, Sir Arthur Chung. Elena revealed that towards the latter half of the story, she loses favour in the family. To satisfy her suppressed sexual desires, she starts an affair with Ron’s character, Kam Muk Shui. In one shocking scene, Elena’s character masturbates.

“After Damian marries Tavia (Yeung), he starts to neglect me, so I get really bored,” explained Elena. “I think the (masturbation scene) is suitable, especially for my character. But I don’t know if that scene will make it into the final cut. It is very controversial for primetime television.”

Aside from getting kinky with Elena, Ron Ng will also be intimately involved with Rebecca Zhu’s character.

As for his sex scenes with Elena and Rebecca, Ron deadpanned, “Elena took the initiative and I just followed her lead! As for Rebecca, she is still a rookie. We only did one take. There wasn’t much feel there.”

The steamy period drama takes place in 1930s British-ruled Hong Kong and centres on a large, rich, and influential family led by the patriarch, Sir Arthur Chung, Hong Kong’s first Chinese lawyer. Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles is loaded with destructive envy and vendettas.

As the husband of four wives, Arthur is the centre of attention and desire. In the drama, Tavia Yeung portrays an opera actress who becomes Arthur’s fourth wife. The stellar cast includes Kenneth Ma and Vincent Wong, who portray Arthur’s two sons.

I thought I did read it somewhere... one of the many news in Chinese. But I don't remember which one.

The part about Elena is quite new and different for a Hong Kong series.
I don't recall in the past that they have anyone in the script masturbate. :[e014]:
Based upon what Elena said, it does sound suitable for her character's personality.

So far I have seen the scene where she seduces Arthur with a lap dance and I thought that was quite brave to act out. :[e004]:
I applauded all the actors and actresses for the professionalism in this series. :[42]

It is funny to read people's reaction to these scenes about desire. ;P some people are overreacting! I don't find these scenes shocking or outrageous whatsoever. At least it is not too explicit. It is necessary to show the sexual relationship and tension of the household. As to the masturbation part, I cannot wait to see it, if it is not deleted.;P

Let us do more justice to the series. It is not a show about sex, even though it  shows the sensual part of the nobility.
